Randy Light
Divisional Merchandising Manager for Price Strategy
The Home Depot

In his current role as Divisional Merchandising Manager (DMM) for Price Strategy at The Home Depot, Randy Light helps develop, articulate and set consistent pricing strategy for the entire organization. During his time in this position, the company transformed back to an EDLP (Every Day Low Pricing) retailer and stopped pricing strategies that work against that EDLP model. Working extensively with Pricing Analytics, he interprets weekly pricing reports to merchandising and incorporates advertising, marketing and execution with pricing initiatives. Randy served as one of the key business leaders on regional and national “price tests.” In addition, he functions as the bridge between the pricing analytics and the merchant team.

Prior to his position with Price Strategy, Randy served both as DMM of Power Tools and as a Global Product Merchant at The Home Depot. In these positions, he set pricing strategy for THD’s power tools, sourced products domestically and internationally and centralized regional buying offices to facilitate merchandising strategies.
